We want the 3799 Connect newsletter to be the start of a long and valued contribution to the communities in the 3799 Postcode – Wesburn, Millgrove, Warburton, East Warburton, Big Pats Creek, McMahons Creek and Reefton.

This newsletter is about connectedness and better information sharing – when are the local markets being held, what meetings are coming up, what films are showing, what is Council doing, how do I join a club, how can I prepare for an emergency, what is the latest gossip etc, etc.

It all started back in June when a few 3799 community members discussed how the connectedness of our townships could be improved. We knew that many people in our area feel that they are not well informed about activities in the 3799 Valley.

We are modelling our effort on The Triangle News, a weekly newsletter distributed to the wider community around Marysville, which has provided exactly this type of information since 1975. We thought this could be a great initiative for our 3799 postcode community too.

With initial financial support from the Millgrove Residents Action Group (MRAG) and the Warburton Advancement League (WAL), 3799 Connect will soon be able to cover all costs and potentially give back to our communities. This publication is a free newsletter, supported by advertisers and available in each community near the beginning of every month. The paper will appear more frequently in due course.

It will only work if we get your feedback and contributions.

When we are better connected, we are more resilient. Our key objective is to provide information to our community to help build our cohesion and resilience.

To do this, we need your input. We want to include content from every 3799 community in each newsletter. We have many community groups, sporting clubs, schools, churches, local service providers, and of course businesses throughout the Valley that would benefit by contributing articles and information to each newsletter. We look forward to 3799 Connect helping to build a more resilient 3799 Valley.
